City Cruises to Victory in 5th Annual Nate Steffens Championship Game:UW Commit Will Cahill Named Broadcast MVP After Dominant Showing

In a fitting finale to the 5th Annual Nate Steffens Championship, City rolled past FCA with an emphatic 8-1 win at Skagit Valley College’s Dream Field. The victory capped a weekend of top-tier 18U baseball, as 12 teams from across Washington gathered to compete in honor of the late Nate Steffens.


Leading the way was University of Washington commit Will Cahill, whose two-run home run broke the game open and earned him Broadcast MVP honors from the Nor Pac Sports Network. Cahill’s power and poise at the plate set the tone for a City team that delivered in every facet on championship day.

Tournament organizer Shane Servoss, a former Skagit Valley College player and coach, noted the growth of the event and its impact on the players. He emphasized that the tournament continues to be a meaningful way to honor Nate Steffens’ legacy both on and off the field.
